She’s an incredibly talented watercolor painter, has taught painting at Flathead Valley Community College since the 1970s, holds the record for the number of consecutive years … 42 to be exact … of participation in the Flathead’s longest running art festival. She’s also the great granddaughter of Cornelius Hedges. Watercolorist and FVCC Art Educator Karen Leigh was our guest on the KGEZ Good Morning Show on May 8, 2020 to tell us about her grandfather, and then you’ll understand why one of Kalispell’s first elementary schools was named after him.
